"On the second day of my stay, a passerby said to me, 'I'm talking to you now because our frequencies are in sync,' marking the beginning of mysterious encounters and events that unfolded over 13 days. Walking the streets guided by intuition, I connected with 45 individuals. 『兄へ』
この作品は実の兄へ向けた僕からの手紙です。しかし直接的なメッセージではなく、路上で出会った人々の「言葉」と「写真」で構成されています。兄と向き合うことが怖かった自分は、18歳から路上に出て、知らない人々の話を聞き、書き、写真を撮る生活を続けてきました。そして、兄を理解したい一心で、「兄ではない誰か」の言葉とまなざしを見つめ、記録してきました。
10年、いや29年間にわたり、自問し続けた兄との関係。その積み重ねがこの作品を形作りました。兄との関係が明るくなってきた今、ようやく発表することができます。「兄へ」と題し「あなたへ」でもある、僕から送る手紙です。どうか必要な人のもとに届きますように。

Shattered window glass. A knife stuck in the wall. Silent meals. A fear I couldn’t tell anyone about. My origin lies entirely within the home I grew up in.

"Dear My Brother"
This work is a letter from me to my older brother. But it is not a direct message. Instead, it is made up of "words" and "photographs" from people I met on the streets.
Unable to face my brother directly, I began walking the streets at 18, listening to strangers, writing their stories, and taking their portraits. Driven by a desire to understand him, I turned to the words and gazes of people who were “not my brother” and began recording them.
Over ten years—no, over 29 years—I have continuously questioned the nature of our relationship. This long accumulation has taken shape in the form of this work.
Now that things have started to heal between us, I can finally share it. Titled Dear My Brother, this is also a letter to you—from me. I hope it reaches those who need it.
